Squidoo Lenses and Science Fiction

Welcome back!

Squidoo Cash machine

Building a Squidoo lens can both fun and profitable if you know how. I recently began to build Squidoo lenses of my shorter fan fiction stories, made a few bucks, but more importantly gotten a lot of new traffic who are interested in science fiction and fantasy to both Science Fiction Buzz and our blog. What I like about Squidoo lenses is that if you take some of your shorter fan fiction pieces, it’s extremely easy to convert them into Squidoo lenses.

Running an archive called Worlds Of Wonder, I am always on the outlook for new ways to get fan fiction readers to find it and for fan fiction writers to read it. Worlds Of Wonder has been sitting dormant since I got sick and my mom got sick and died. Please note: We are revamping Worlds of Wonder into a forum board where stories can be posted as well as news and commentary. We will be using Squidoo fan fics to build traffic to the new Worlds of Wonder site once it’s done in about 2 weeks.  I’ve been looking for a way to revitalize the board, so I’ve started making Squidoo lenses with links to the archive. I’ve been looking for a way to revitalize the lens, so I’ve started making Squidoo lenses with links to the archive.

I came across a great ebook that had helped a great deal in making my lenses more engaging and easy to read. The book is called Squidoo Cash Machine and despite it’s somewhat hyped name, it is a truly wonderful ebook on how to make Squidoo lenses. Squidoo is owned by Google, so if you are trying to get the word out about your website, building a couple Squidoo lenses is the way to go.

SCM is 160+ pages of everything from how to monetize your pages to how to make drop caps, giving the codes needed to make boxes, backgrounds, adding larger photos and more. It is packed with resource links to all sorts of places to get things like royalty free photos, how to highlight within text and more.

The author is an experienced lensmaster and the lenses I’ve built after reading his book are much more dynamic and engaging. As a result, I’ve begun to get traffic to both my work on fanfiction.net and Worlds Of Wonder.

There is a step-by-step system provided that gives five essential steps to creation and monetization of your lens without the money aspects taking the focus off of your story, article or news release. In terms of science fiction, you can highlight various videos, talk about a good fan fiction author and list all of their work in a single place – the list of what you can build with a Squidoo lens goes on and on.

Squidoo Cash Machine isn’t all that expensive comparatively speaking to some other products I’ve come across for building good Squidoo lenses. It does, however, deliver a great deal of content giving a new lensmaster a wealth of information and techniques that can be implemented immediately. The advanced section is great for veteran lensmasters and allows them to go back and improve their lenses.

Creating lively and engaging Squidoo lenses is really an easy way for a science fiction writer or fan fiction writer to highlight and present their writing. The benefits of Squidoo being owned by Google is obvious. Squidoo lenses all rank extremely high in the search engines. So, if you are looking for new visitors who are interested in science fiction and fantasy, Squidoo is one of the great Web 2.0 ways to go with Squidoo Cash Machine as the ebook that will get your lens to stand out.
