Gaeta’s mutiny could’ve been a tad bit more hectic…or stopped faster with the Pegasus aound.
Oh… and one more thing.
Season 3 is BY FAR the most amazing season of the entire serie. No doubt about that.Just rewatch the episode 3×06, 3×20, 3×04, 3×01, 3×12, 3×17, 3×11…All of them are the proof of what I said… You will see.
I think season 3 is easily the worst season. The point of origin for the decline of the show was the ludicrous way the Pegasus was lost. Each episode afterwards got worse and worse. I really thought that they should have kept the Pegasus around a lot longer than they did. It would have provided at least a season of storylines. Competition with the crews etc, resentment at Lee Adama from the Peg crew.Imagine how could Gaeta’s mutiny would have been with the Pegasus around?
We probably would have got to see a Peg V Galactica fight
I agree about Pegasus, She was underused.
I thought the show ran out of balls somewhere after season two and before season three. They seemed afraid to kill characters off.Adama should have been killed by Gaeta/Zarek. Then Lee takes over Galactica. Baltar became a waste of time. There is no way he isn’t killed after everything he has done. While I liked Katee S as Starbuck, I found Starbuck to be a detriment to the show as almost every episode seemed to revolve around her. I found it refreshing that she was gone for a bit.
The Pegasus was probably my favourite part of the show. Its not that the Pegasus got destroyed that is dumb, its how.The Pegasus was the fleets most valuable asset. To take the Pegasus to New Caprica with the aim of not returning just isn’t realistic. The aim of the battlestars was to keep the baseships occupied and their attention focused away from the planet. Not to get into a fight to the death. To not take the Peg to N Caprica in the first place seems very stupid to me.
I thought season two was the best season.Season one was good, but season two was exceptional in my opinion.”Scattered, Pegasus, Resurrection ship 1& 2, Scar, the Captains Hand and Downloaded” are, in my opinion, pretty much the best episodes in the whole show. Season 3 doesn’t have an episode that can crack these episodes.’Black Market was bad. I found it incredulous how Fisk got murdered and no one on the Pegasus had a clue. Not likely.Downloaded is probaly my favourite episode.
Addition : The most absurd issue for me was The ones who travelled all the space to tell not to develop Artificial Intelligence were machines !!Machines came to advise “stop messing with AI” !!Are you kidding me !?Continue…Or the other most convenient scenario would be making The F5 “Big Bads” which I was expecting much more than the first… …CONT…
Well, To be more precised,My ultimate theory before Season 4.5 was,The One who is behind the curtain many harmful incidents to humanity from day 1,the one who pulled all the strings, manipulated all the events that affected humanity’s fate was One True God , aka The One whose name can not be spoken, aka 13th God.
Briefly, I always assumed (till 4×11) that The Big villain was 13th God and The 5 were the servants of him, who bombed The First Earth + who infiltrated the fleet as Plan B.It goes on.. My theory is long and I’m tired to tell it for now.. I humbly believe, this was 10 times better than the current scenario but everything gone to toilet as of Season 4.5Big villain : 1s, Definitely georgeousFinal 5 + 2s + 6s + 8s : Nothing but delusional machines, who think themselves as humans. End of story.
