Bunch of fucking nerds. Debating the merits of a grade B TV show with cardboard sets shot what, 50 fucking years ago??Why don’t you get interested by something real instead of learning a shitload of technical fantasy-facts?

“I think that’s what the producers of Star Trek: Enterprise said… “When? Besides, obviously worked for the new film, so no harm done if a few want to cry.

As Admiral Kirk told the crew of cadets in STII, “I’m going to ask you all to grow up a little.”

Don’t take it that I was bashing you, that was not my intent. Its just been a pet peeve of mine when people start debating the validity of a concept in a fictional movie :P But going back, no, its not pointless. Regardless of being a Star Trek fan or not, it doesn’t invalidate your opinion, especially since its running against the perceived norm.

I guess the whole of what I’ve posted here is going to be pointless, because Americans see anyone who is a Star Trek fan as a loser or weirdo. People are so keen to bash my comments, they don’t realise I’m for the notion of a reboot. I just feel it wasn’t given enough time to cool down, and the reboot wasn’t best handled.Still, one more month or so ’til “The Waters of Mars,” so that’s okay… something to *really* look forward to…

If this is a reference to me, I’m not hardcore… I guess the best way to judge this film is to see what impact it has had after a few years. If J. Michael Straczynski had been in charge of the reboot, I’d have been much more interested, and excited. JJ Abrams did an amazing and excellent job with Alias, but as far as I’m concerned, this wasn’t the right project for him.

“If this has alienated a percentage of the cultists, so fucking what.”I think that’s what the producers of Star Trek: Enterprise said… Seriously, the real problem is that Peramount should have let it lie for a decade or so, to really cool off the heels, and time the francise time. I have no issue with a re-vamp, they just did this wrong. If Abrams had said “Right, I’m starting from scratch, and building up with a nod to what’ happened,” then fine.
