Yeah, remember in DS9, that one episode they went back in time, to the original star trek tribble episode, worf said their change wasn’t something they discussed…i’m a big fan.

They probably didn’t want to get into the whole ‘what Klingons actually looked like’ in the movie. In the original series, they looked like normal humans but in TNG they have the characteristic ridges on their foreheads. That’s probably the reason.

I think they should have kept the ones with Baby Spock and the Kirk Bros. I can live not knowing what happened to Nero, but the car chase is meaningless without that scene
