I think he did want to be in the new one, but they couldn’t find a plausible way to fit his character into the plot. Then again, the way tehy squeezed the rest of the characters into the new flick in 2 hours was a bit contrived, too. Oh well, it was still fun to watch.
And Shatner’s voice is dubbed over the actual footage of the film. If you look as his mouth moving compared to the dialogue, you’ll see the two don’t match up.An excellent job of commercial work.
Actually, this commercial is quite a few years old. And, IMHO, hilarious!
Does anyone else think Shatner looks scary here? Growing old must be terrible. He looks scary..
I’m guessing that through the “magic of CGI”, William Shatner’s face was shanned to make him “look young” (or remotely like he did in 1991). Think of that part in the third X-Men movie, involving Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen being able to look 20 years younger.
shanned?
So I guess you’re never going to grow old. What a stupid comment, next time think before you type.
There is no way Shatner is that thin still, fuck that
All that work and no one realized that they used the theme song from TNG?
The “TNG” theme is actually the theme originally created for the firs Star Trek movie, which was out well before TNG ever was.
