If you honestly believe they are anything less than the best of friends, then you need to understand Shatner’s sense of humor, and how much George laughs himself sick over it. They have known each other for decades, and are very, VERY good friends. Thing is, they’re both ‘old school’, and such good friends Shatner teases Takei about his sexual preferences, and George has no problem with it. You need to understand they get along famously; it’s just like TOS; all in good fun
